Manufacturing Process: Cold rolling. Hot-rolled steel is first “pickled” (cleaned in acid to remove scale), then passed through rollers at room temperature. This compresses the steel to a precise thickness, increasing its strength and producing a very smooth surface.
Cold rolled steel coil is a product made from hot rolled coil through rolling at room temperature. Since rolling at ambient temperature does not produce iron oxide scale, it features high surface smoothness and excellent dimensional accuracy. After annealing treatment, its mechanical properties are superior to those of hot rolled steel plates.
