Manufacturing Process: Made by rotary piercing. A solid, heated cylindrical steel billet is forced over a piercing mandrel to create a hollow center, then rolled and stretched to the desired diameter and wall thickness without any welding.
Seamless pipes is derived from solid steel bar form and is formed into a solid round shape known as billet which is then heated and cast over a form such as a piercing rod to create a hollow tube or shell.
